Squamish B.C., an hour north of Vancouver was the first municipality in Canada to oppose the MAI Hosted by Murray Dobbin the video begins at Squamish city hall about an hour north of Vancouver up the BC mainland coast. Squamish was the first municipality in Canada to oppose the MAI, and is also the location of the first unionized McDonalds restaurant ( see working TV #118), for September 11, in our video online section. This video features excerpts from Maude Barlow's speech at the Public Forum on the MAI, at the Vancouver Public Library earlier this year.
