Webcast of All Workers Deserve a Fair Day's Pay speakers' forum, April 1, 2007 at the Vancouver Public Library, sponsored by the Hospital Employees' Union.

With the increasing privatization of public services, public sector unions are representing increased numbers of low-waged workers employed by private corporations.

Our sisters and brothers in the British trade union movement have made significant gains for low-waged workers by teaming up with both labour and community organizations.

The central message is simple. All workers deserve a fair day's pay. Why? Because poverty wages hurt families, weaken our communities and undermine other workers' wages.
