NDP Defense and Peace Advocacy critic hosts Public Forum on Afghanistan"I have received more mail, email and phone calls on the subject of our military commitments in Afghanistan than on any other issue" said New Westminster - Coquitlam MP Dawn Black. She is the Federal NDP caucus critic for Defence and Peace Advocacy."With so many interested constituents, I wanted to host a public discussion on the issues surrounding our involvement". Panelists at the forum included two individuals with academic credentials and expertise on the matter, and a member of the local Afghan-Canadian community. Nearly 200 people braved stormy weather to attend and many took part in a lively question and answer session with panelists. |
