Independent Media Centre Site and Deep Dish TV , during the World Trade Organization's "Millennium Round" Ministerial meeting in Seattle.


Showdown in Seattle is an amazing feat of volunteer media activism produced with video shot by as many as 100 volunteer videographers co-ordinated through the IMC. Don't miss it.

Two programs taped March 3 in Vancouver at a talk by Maude Barlow called "Protecting Canada's Social Programs: Resisting the WTO's threat to public education and health". Barlow, an outspoken crusader and chair of the 1000,000 member Council of Canadians was on a B.C. wide tour speaking about the internal and external threats to Canada's social programs. Her message is one of hope, sparked by the rise of a new global citizen's movement affirming the rights of people over profits.
