Two programs taped March 3 in Vancouver at a talk by Maude Barlow called "Protecting Canada's Social Programs: Resisting the WTO's threat to public education and health". Barlow, an outspoken crusader and chair of the 1000,000 member Council of Canadians was on a B.C. wide tour speaking about the internal and external threats to Canada's social programs. Her message is one of hope, sparked by the rise of a new global citizen's movement affirming the rights of people over profits.
