"No government in Canada has been elected with a mandate to end welfare.� Lee Lakeman, Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter Thousands in British Columbia, including many women and children will lose their welfare benefits on April 1, 2004 when the Liberal government implements it's new 2 year time limit. People are mobilizing across the province to fightback.
