Day of Mourning

APRIL 28, 2006: Workers carry 188 cardboard coffins through downtown Vancouver in the morning rush hour - one coffin for each worker killed in BC in 2005. The coffins went to the Day of Mourning ceremony, which this year was outside government offices at Canada Place and drew over 1000 mourners. The annual event is organized by the BC Federation of Labour.
